The End

i have one more post left in my journal now so until i get new paper i'll have to keep it short. As i'm writing this, Senator Obama is giving his victory speech as President of the United States of America. I am sickened with this country, that we have all sat by and let this happen. I am angry that more innocent people, through abortion and other means, have to die before we all learn our lesson and this madness ends. I am saddened that all of America and possibly the world will have to endure the consequences of it's decision. History is repeating itself... Hitler, Stalin, Castro, possibly Obama... Yet another smooth talking socialist taking us arm in arm smiling and laughing down Communism lane to our final demise... I don't know what to do about this, what we can do about this, but i do know one thing i won't stand for. I will not tolerate political correctness. I'm no longer going to hesitate to speak the truth or call it like it is just to pacify feelings. If you're offended, go hug a tree.

I am so worried for America... I know God's in control, but he was also in control when untold millions of Jews, His people, were mercilessly executed. Will we have to endure this? Oh, I pray not. I pray history will not repeat itself like it almost never ceases to do... Hmph - people are sheep, complacently shuffling to be sheared and killed. But it's sheep killing sheep now, as it has always been. God bless America. Lord, please come.

Sweet Madame Blue
Styx

Time after time
I sit and I wait for your call
I know I'm a fool
But what can I say
Whatever the price I'll pay
For you, Madame Blue

Once, long ago
A word from your lips
and the world turned
around
But somehow you've changed
You're so far away
I long for the past and
dream of the day
With you, Madame Blue

Sweet Madame Blue
Gaze in your looking glass
You're not a child anymore
Sweet Madame Blue
The future is all but past
Dressed in your jewels
You made your own rules
You conquered the world and more
... Heaven's door

America, America...
America, America...
America, America...
America, America...

America, America...
America, America...

Red, white and blue
Gaze in your looking glass
You're not a child anymore
Red, white and blue
The future is all but past
So lift up your heart
And make a new start
And lead us away from here

Friday afternoon...

Well these past few days have been a trial for me, and you, and everyone else i'm sure as we adjust to the reality of a country led by Barrack Obama. For me, though, i am more at peace, mainly after a conversation with a good friend, who encouraged me to ALWAYS trust in God. After all that's all we can really do, isn't it. Trust, and pray. And that friend reminded me that President Obama might not be as bad as we're making him out to be, that he might do great things for this country. We could all be wrong about him. I pray that i am. Even if he is like we have heard and seen, he still commands our respect, as he IS the President of the United States, and as such, like it or not, we are called to obey and respect him, even when he makes extremely wrong decisions. I don't know where this country will be at the end of these four years, but let us be assured that God is in control, and He has our good in mind! So i say let's meet each new challenge together, and finally come together under a man many of us completely disagree with. It sounds strange, but i think this is what God is calling us to do... we must respect, obey, speak the truth, trust in Him, and most of all, pray. Lord, please help us.

I know that the "friend" you mentioned wasn't me. I'm glad you shared this, 'cause I was in the same boat before I read it. I really couldn't see what God was doing. But all we've got to do is trust that He will do what He needs to do to complete his purpose.

As you said, who knows? we might be totally wrong about Obama. I don't think so, though. But I do pray so.

i just wanted to ask one question... were you mentioning abortion because of obama's position on it? becuase i'm pretty sure mccain had the exact same ideas on the topic.

also, while obama has a lot of near-socialist ideas, the race was incredibly close. i know democrats have control of the country pretty much right now, but obama is expected to preside from the center, and his most radical ideas are simply not going to make it.

i talked to mrs. elliott about all this last saturday, and i mentioned how all of my friends make it seem like the end of the world. honestly, it isn't. idk if you've ever read marx, but he wrote that all capitalist governments eventually become communist. i don't quite agree with his explanation, and i definitely don't support it as good, but when you live in a flawed world like ours, even a great capitalist country will probably go socialistic at some point. like you said, you can see it throughout history. it's been coming for 200 years. obama is evidence that, in our system, what the people want is a more socialistic-leaning government. a larger government. while we ourselves may not agree with this, we agree that our system is a fluid one and when the needs (wants) of the masses change, so will our leaders.

anyway, i don't think you should be worried about totalitarian issues regarding discrimination etc. Hitler is kind of a bad comparison, because he was a fascist, not a socialist. the others, however, are good points. sometime in the future, we may be prohibited from homeschooling or being christian, but it won't happen under obama and it won't happen in our lifetimes.

this doesn't mean we should just sit and let it happen, but we do need to accept that the world is in a state of devolution - we steadily get worse and worse. it's not going to get any better until the end.

also, my friends have constantly prayed for "the right man" to make it into office. i'm sure you have as well. and then barack obama made it in. i'm sure that we don't need to be worried. i discussed this with emily (elliott) on saturday. worrying shows a lack of faith in god's plan. if you believe he has one, you know that whatever happens is for your own good. no need to worry!

i like your last paragraph. it seems that you worked some of this out in your own mind and that's all we can really do in the end, anyway.

so i had to get that off my chest! the whole thing has been getting under my skin, so thanks for giving me the opportunity ;)

may even turn it into a blog post!

keep it up. :D

oh, you know what? I made a really long comment on this last night, and somehow it didn't go through.....that's weird....and frusterating.....and I don't feel like retyping it up so, oh well, lol!

maybe I'll make a blog post on it.

Anyhow(hahaha, nathan =P), like I was saying to adam, earlier, I'm not the least bit worried. It won't do me any good, as God is in control!

I'm glad you kinda are at peace about it now, Nathan!

yeah Emily I like how you put it: "worrying is...a sin, because you're not trusting God."

Hahaha Chelsey... yes i'm glad that friend "talked" to me.

rotfl Emily! Yes goood times!! but yes Adam wow great thoughts. Um i did mention abortion because of Obama's standing on it, and i've done some research, and McCain is completely against abortion. As he said, “I don’t claim to be a theologian, but I have my moral beliefs.” Now i can't comment on your post, because you pretty much have already said everything haha, but i will say that you're right, we don't need to worry. We do need to be watchful, though. And we all need to watch Saturday Night Live, because they really do bring it all in perspective =P haha
